On July 14, 2025, the Ambassadors Club e.V. and more than 30 ambassadors visited the Joint Forces Command of the Bundeswehr at the Julius-Leber-Barracks in Berlin. The delegation was welcomed by President Dr h.c. Mania Feilcke-Dierck and Major General Thilo Maedler, Chief of Staff of the Command.
The main topics of discussion were the current challenges in security policy and the transformation of warfare into hybrid threats, even impacting targets on German soil. Major General Maedler emphasised the growing importance of multinational cooperation in effectively addressing these complex threat scenarios.
Following the presentations, an engaging Q&A session took place with the attending diplomats. Particular focus was placed on Germany’s responsibility within international alliances, resilience against cyber threats, and the protection of critical infrastructure.
The Excellencies expressed their gratitude to Major General Maedler and the Joint Forces Command for the open exchange and their commitment to international security and stability.
