Almost 50 ambassadors from around the world accepted the Ambassadors Club’s invitation to a dinner with Karin Prien, Federal Minister for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, on 14 October 2026 at the Berlin Capital Club.
Following welcoming remarks by Alexander Klostermann, Executive Director of the Berlin Capital Club, and Martin Hoeck, Vice President of the Ambassadors Club, the evening focused on personal exchange between the Federal Minister and the Excellencies, as well as discussion of current political issues. Topics included the proposed ban on social media for children and young people, the latest PISA study, and cooperation between the federal and state governments in education.
The Ambassadors Club regularly brings together ambassadors accredited to Germany and senior representatives from politics, business and society. Its Jour Fixe events aim to promote international dialogue, strengthen personal connections and provide a space for different perspectives.
The strong response to Minister Prien’s invitation and the lively discussion following her remarks underlined the Excellencies’ interest in direct exchange with the German government. In a pleasant atmosphere, the evening provided an opportunity for engaging conversations and new encounters.
The Ambassadors Club warmly thanks Federal Minister Karin Prien for her participation, the Berlin Capital Club for its excellent hospitality, and all the ambassadors in attendance for a successful evening.
