Ambassadors from all over the world give children to the Charité

On December 18th, 2019, the traditional Angel Tree Party of the Ambassadors Club took place for the second time at the Westin Grand Berlin. Dr. h.c. Mania Feilcke-Dierck, President of the Ambassadors Club and Thomas Hattenberger, General Manager of the Westin Grand Berlin invited guests to the Beletage in the festively decorated atrium of the hotel under the patronage of Michelle Müntefering MP, Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office.

More than 40 ambassadors from all over the world, from the Apostolic Nuncio to Japan, Nicaragua, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Peru, Burundi, Angola to South Africa and the Philippines, brought large and small gift packages with them and placed them under the Angel Tree, decorated in Christmas Red. The American pianist Todd Fletcher entertained the guests on the piano with Christmas music and encouraged them to sing christmas songs together.

The boys and girls at the children’s and youth department in the Charité were able to look forward to presents from over 100 guests at Christmas.
