Ambassadors compete for the Golf Cup

 

For the 14th  time the Ambassadors Golf Cup, hosted by the Ambassadors Club in cooperation with AUDI AG,  took place on September 10th on the golf course of the Märkischer Golfclub Potsdam in Phöben. In glorious summer weather, Mania Feilcke-Dierck, President of the Ambassadors Club, welcomed about a dozen ambassadors who fought for the coveted trophy or made their first experiences in golf.

Last year’s winner H.E. Karunatikala Amunugama (Ambassador of Sri Lanka) was this year in strong competition among others by H.E. Zulkifli Adnan (Ambassador of Malaysia), H.E. Sithong Chitnhothinh (Ambassador of Laos) and H.E. Jauhar Saleem (Ambassador of Pakistan). Also present were Prof. Roland Hetzer, cardiac surgeon and Claus Kobold, President of the German Golf Association.

The day was crowned with an elegant dinner with a show from entertainment artist Julian Böhme (Sir Julian), a large raffle and a 15-minute fireworks display. At the award ceremony H.E. Jauhar Saleem, the Ambassador of Pakistan was happy to win the trophy, which will be in his embassy or residence for one year.
